About the artist
Fantastic Framing is proud to collaborate with the renowned Aboriginal artists known as the Numina Sisters.
We curate works from Louise Numina, Caroline Numina, Lanita Numina, Sharon Numina, Selina Numina Napanangka and their mother Barbara Pananka.
The Numina Sisters’ traditional country is Central Australia on Anmatyerre lands. They are now based in Darwin, after growing up on Stirling Station, located between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. They are Anmatyerre speakers.
Their works make use of deep, powerful and culturally significant symbolism and tell stories around Emu Dreaming, Water Dreaming, Dingo Dreaming and Bush Medicine Plants, harvested on country.
Each artist has a distinctive style and leans on traditional and contemporary art techniques, from fine dotwork that produces tonal effects to bold line structures and a diverse colour palette.
All artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and bearing the artist’s signature. Art Buy is committed to ethical business practice and all artists are compensated fairly for their work.
